Peterson acted the loyal number two, but there were times when his brilliance could not be masked. Sadly, Ronnie Peterson died later that same year from injuries sustained at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. One of the most promising Grand Prix race drivers in history is still missed by fans all over the world.
